Abstract

Introduction. Educational innovations encompass new or improved approaches, methodologies, technologies, or organisational solutions that enhance the educational process and, once proven effective, become widely implemented. Given the diversity of modern innovations, a key issue is the formation of unified classification approaches and the justification for scientific research in this area. Purpose of the article. To reveal the essence of innovative educational activities in higher education institutions and illustrate transformational processes in their internationalisation using the example of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. Research methods. The study employs an analysis of state innovation policies, comparing domestic and foreign research on educational innovations and examining innovative practices in Ukrainian universities using abstraction and concretisation. Results. The significance of innovative educational activities of higher education institutions as a factor in providing high-quality educational services is proven. The author's vision of the stages of the innovation process is proposed, which occur in the following chronological sequence: the emergence of innovation → implementation of innovation in the educational process → productive, innovative activity for the implementation of innovation → innovation acquiring the status of a habitual activity/phenomenon → emergence of next innovation. Originality. The influence of internationalisation on bringing innovative educational activities of domestic universities to the international level is revealed. The experience of innovative educational activities of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design in providing educational services to Chinese students at the Kyiv Institute of the Qilu University of Technology is studied and generalised. Conclusions and suggestions. Higher education institutions in Ukraine are recommended to optimise innovative educational activities by considering the latest academic achievements and trends in the context of integration.
