Abstract
The thesis examines STEM project-based learning as a key tool for implementing competence-based, integrated, and practice-oriented education in the context of the model curriculum for grades 5–9. The publication emphasizes that STEM projects enable the integration of knowledge from natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, and the social sphere, contributing to the formation of practical skills, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. It is noted that STEM projects are not limited to rigid algorithms but involve open-ended inquiry, experimentation, self-organization, and decision-making. It is substantiated that the implementation of project-based learning in physics education is an effective means of modernizing content, preparing students for scientific and technological progress, and guiding career orientation.
