Abstract

This methodological guide is dedicated to the analysis of promising models of scientific education, the implementation of which in Ukraine will influence the development of critical thinking, scientific knowledge, and research competencies among Ukrainian youth. It explores the theoretical foundations of educational modeling, including concepts, classifications, typologies, and criteria for model selection. The guide also examines the experience of implementing organizational models of education systems in different countries and the possibilities of adapting these models to the Ukrainian context. Special attention is given to forward-looking didactic and pedagogical models such as inquiry-based learning, citizen science, design thinking, phenomenon-based learning, and the mentorship model. The guide offers practical recommendations for integrating these models into the system of general secondary and extracurricular education, as well as a STEAM-oriented curriculum that serves as an example of such integration. This publication will be useful for educators, researchers, and education policymakers. It will support the development of strategies for modernizing the educational process, preparing young people for the challenges of the modern world, and fostering the emergence of an innovative educational policy and the recovery of Ukraine.
