Abstract
In the article, the author raises the issue of teaching methodology, which, like all didactics, is going through a difficult period of development, as another reform of the domestic education system is underway, new concepts and standards are being created, which include not only content, but also requirements for learning outcomes, model and curriculum programs, the content of textbooks is being updated, various forms of assessing learning outcomes are emerging, etc. Since enough problems have accumulated in the methodology of teaching geography, this requires special pedagogical research, including the problem of updating methods, means and forms of organizing learning, which is precisely what the article is about.
