Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics of the labor market of the city of Stryi (Lviv region). It is concluded that the number of vacancies in the city over the past three years (from 2023 to 2025) has not changed significantly, remaining at the level of 0.5 thousand. In the structure of vacancies by type of economic activity, a significant part of them was offered at industrial enterprises and in trade, a smaller share - in transport), a small share - in public catering, at the post office and in warehousing. In terms of professions, employers offered the largest number of vacancies for workers in the trade and services sector (salesman, loader and sales manager). The demand for representatives of working professions remains quite high: workers in the maintenance and operation of equipment and machines (seamstress, machine operator, heavy machinery operator). The number of vacancies for production line operators has tripled. The number of vacancies in the healthcare sector (doctors and nurses) has also doubled. Despite martial law, the number of restaurants and cafes in the city is increasing, so some of the vacancies are for cooks, waiters and bartenders. Ukrposhta and Nova Poshta of the city also offer a number of vacancies. The city has created significant opportunities for employment of specialists in various professions and specialties in numerous state, municipal and private enterprises, organizations and institutions of various forms of ownership. You can acquire professions and specialties that are in demand on the city's labor market in four vocational training institutions. (vocational and technical) and one institution of professional pre-higher education. The professions that can be obtained in the city's vocational (vocational and technical) education institutions are in the greatest demand on the labor market.
