Abstract

The features of emotional determination of the political identification of young people in different regions of the country are considered in the context of the prospects of post-war integration. The place and functions are determined, and indicators of emotional representations of political identity are defined. The results of the empirical study, conducted by the method of subjective scaling, were processed using the methods of mathematical statistics, including factor analysis. It is established that the political identification of young people in the central and eastern regions is structured by the experience of belonging to the country, its culture and history; the identification of young people in the north is structured by the experience of belonging to the culture, achievements and losses of their people; young people in the south build their political identity from positive attitudes towards interaction with residents of other regions; and young people in the west - from the experience of belonging to the region. Students in the northern, eastern, and western regions tolerate the ideals of socialism with a touch of liberal ideas. Young people in the center are impressed by liberal ideas, which does not prevent them from striving for justice and equality. Political sympathies of respondents in the southern region are ambivalent. The following factors were identified as promising for the post-war integration of the youth community: subjective attitudes; a sense of ability to quickly adapt to life in any region of the country; and the absence of prejudice against the values and attitudes of residents of other regions. Threats to integration processes are caused by total distrust of the government bodies and authorities, rejection of expert opinion; absolutization of the value of the individual ("the individual is more important than the state"); tolerance of ideals of opposing ideological concepts, despite their incompatibility, and biased attitudes toward supporters of other political forces.
