Abstract

The monograph presents the results of an intermediate stage of the research project on the topic of «Development of universities in the context of post-war renovation: synergy of social and institutional transformations of higher education, science, and economy» (state registration No. 0124U001191). The problem of the development of universities is considered in the monograph from the perspective of the needs and opportunities of the post-war renovation of Ukraine, which acts as a historic chance for the transformation of higher education following the existing and potential development trends of world society, science, and economy. The authors analyze the value principles and humanistic foundations of such transformations; the role of higher education institutions as institutions that exert a direct influence on the development of communities and regions, taking into account the key principles of sustainable development; the influence of the latest AI-based technologies on education and the risks and possibilities related to their usage; the status of higher education institutions as subjects of economic activity; approaches to determining the requirements for knowledge, abilities and skills of future graduates in the context of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The monograph is addressed to representatives of the university community, all academic and pedagogical fellows of higher education institutions, academic organizations and institutions, specialists in financing structures, the general public, and everyone interested in the development of higher education in Ukraine.
