Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the state of research on the problem of forming the economic culture of future technicians in transport technologies and transportation management by road transport. It was determined that the formation of economic culture is an important element of the training of specialists in this field, because it is economic culture includes the knowledge and skills necessary for rational management of transportation, optimization of traffic flows, as well as the implementation of economically justified decisions in the process of operating vehicles. The content of educational programs used for the training of future technicians has been studied, in particular the disciplines that contribute to the formation of both general and specialized competencies. Such disciplines include «Technology and organization of road freight transportation», «Organization and safety of road traffic», «Fundamentals of transport economics», which provide students with knowledge about the impact of economic processes on the functioning of transport systems. In addition, an important place in the training of future specialists is occupied by disciplines that contribute to the development of environmental awareness, in particular «Fundamentals of ecology» and «Safety of transport activity». These disciplines emphasize the importance of environmentally safe solutions in the transport sector. Along with this, the article substantiates the need to update educational programs, since the analysis of literary sources shows that many materials used for training are outdated and do not meet the modern requirements of the labor market.In particular, the works of the authors, which were published in 2010, do not take into account modern changes in legislation, technical and technological innovations, which are especially important in the context of Ukraine's integration into the European transport space. It was determined that updating the software of educational disciplines taking into account modern environmental standards and the introduction of automated transportation management systems is a necessary step to improve the quality of training of future specialists. The article also emphasizes the importance of increasing the level of communication between educational institutions and enterprises of the transport industry in order to adapt educational programs to the real needs of the labor market.
