Abstract
The personal readiness of teachers to implement STEM education is a key prerequisite for the successful integration of innovative practices in the educational process. Teachers with cognitive flexibility, innovative thinking, creativity, as well as the ability to reflect, manage emotions and volitional qualities, can successfully integrate STEM into the educational process. This readiness allows them not only to implement the latest teaching approaches but also to act as catalysts for change, contributing to the development of key competencies of students. In this regard, there is an urgent need to develop a special course program aimed at developing the personal readiness of teachers to implement STEM education. The article highlights the theoretical and practical aspects of developing a special course program, structural components and expected results. The content of the program includes five interrelated topics that reveal the psychological features of the components of teachers' personal readiness for the implementation of STEM education: value-motivational, cognitive-reflective, emotional-volitional, and operational-creative. To develop the program of the special course, theoretical methods were used - analysis, synthesis, generalization of scientific and methodological sources on the problem of teachers' personal readiness to implement STEM education, as well as the results and statistics of empirical research on this issue. The program of the special course creates conditions for the formation of sustainable motivation of teachers for professional self-improvement, adaptability, flexibility of thinking, and the ability to innovate. In addition, this course will help to overcome possible psychological barriers associated with the implementation of STEM education and ensure effective interaction between teachers of different subject areas. This will allow not only to qualitatively update the educational process, but also to create a favorable environment for the development of STEM-competencies in students.
