Abstract
The article reveals the peculiarities of the psychotherapeutic influence of nature on people affected by the war, which are applied in the project “Psychological Rehabilitation in Nature”, initiated and implemented by the public organization “All-Ukrainian Environmental League” in partnership with the Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Teacher Education, Information and Educational center “Ecological Watch”. The results of an empirical study are presented, revealing the evaluation of the Project by pedagogical workers who are directly involved in working with children, who have the status of internally displaced persons and need rehabilitation from the stress caused by the war. The purpose of the article is to reveal the concept of the project “Psychological Rehabilitation in Nature” as a direction of work with children affected by military actions; scientific substantiation of the mechanisms of psychotherapeutic effects of nature and the beneficial effect of nature on the psychological state of a person, which were the basis of the project. To achieve the goal, a number of tasks were defined: to theoretically investigate the state of study of the problem of psychological rehabilitation by means of nature in scientific literature; based on the generalization of scientific experience and empirical research, justify the relevance of the implementation of the project “Psychological Rehabilitation in Nature”; to determine the prospects of scaling up the project as a direction of psycho-rehabilitation work with children in the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of this study is that the mechanisms of psychological rehabilitation of children affected by the war from the perspective of an ecological approach. The project “Psychological Rehabilitation in Nature” is characterized through the definition of the goal, tasks, key challenges that should be solved within its limits; partners; a complex of modern recovery and rehabilitation methods adapted to the age categories of children; system of organizing and conducting trainings for teachers who work with internally displaced children and victims of war. The results of the questionnaire are presented, which approve the relevance of the Project and its predicted effectiveness in working with children who need psychological rehabilitation from the negative impact of the war. The conclusions confirm the relevance of this project and define the prospects for further research in the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery in Ukraine.
