Abstract

The materials of the monograph consider the issues of organizing students' research activities in history, in particular the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of its implementation. The competency-based and activity-based approach to the formation of research tasks, the methodology of working with historical sources, as well as the role of the teacher in the conditions of research education are analyzed. Special attention is paid to methodological ways of forming research competence, which includes motivational and value, intellectual and heuristic, practical and search, communicative and presentational and reflective components. It is proven that the implementation of research activities contributes to the transformation of the educational process from reproductive to productive, providing students with the opportunity to create their own educational products, develop the skills of independent search, analysis and application of information.
