Abstract
The transition to competency-based learning requires overcoming differences based on the integration into traditional mathematics teaching of such components of the competency-based approach as the formation of students' motivation and value attitude towards learning, ensuring a practice-oriented direction of the content of the mathematics course, and developing students' readiness for independent educational and cognitive activity and the ability for self-control and self-assessment.
