Abstract
The article reveals the main aspects of an integrated approach to the study of foreign literature in the 7th grade of the lyceum from the standpoint of implementing the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education (2020). A collective author's model of reading, perception and interpretation of a literary text is presented based on the integration of content and teaching methods in a textbook on foreign literature for the 7th grade, aimed at students' mastery of analytical and creative methods, the formation of cross-cutting skills and key competencies.
