Abstract

he features of managing the project activities of younger schoolchildren in the process of forming their environmental competence are considered. Methods, approaches and regulatory support for environmental education are analyzed, in particular the role of the State Standard of Primary Education and the Concept of Environmental Education of Ukraine. The psychological characteristics of younger schoolchildren that affect the effectiveness of project activities are outlined. Examples of environmental projects implemented within the integrated course "I explore the world" are presented, and strategies for motivating students to participate in environmental activities are proposed.
