Abstract
The goal of teaching civic education is defined as the development of civic qualities of the individual, civic and social competencies. Methodological conditions for implementing the proposed learning model are substantiated: consistent implementation of a competency-based approach based on previous experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of students; maintaining motivation and ensuring reflection. The special role of practical classes is emphasized.
