Abstract

The publication presents an overview of monitoring studies of the dynamics of primary school students' academic achievements in domestic and foreign practice, highlights the analysis and search for strategies to solve the problem at the legislative level, in research, as well as in school practice, in the activities of non-governmental organizations and educational platforms. The authors presents the classification of learning losses, the results of a large-scale study of the problem of learning losses of primary school students conducted by researchers of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, and outlines effective mechanisms for making up for learning losses in primary school students.
