Abstract
The modern higher education system of Ukraine is in the process of active transformation, which necessitates the need to rethink approaches to the professional development of HEI teachers. The study of gender aspects of this process is of particular relevance, since they affect the formation of professional identity, the choice of teaching strategies and the nature of interaction with students. The relevance of the study of gender aspects of the professional development of HEI teachers is also increasing in the context of European integration processes and the reform of higher education in Ukraine. The implementation of European standards of education quality requires the creation of conditions for the maximum realization of the professional potential of each teacher, regardless of gender. In this case, it is important to take into account both the general patterns of professional development and the specific gender features of this process.
