Abstract

The thesis explores the factors shaping the content of 8th-grade civic education, focusing on globalization, migration, digital transformation, and environmental threats. By consistently applying a competency-based approach that integrates knowledge from history, philosophy, law, sociology, and other relevant disciplines, the curriculum fosters a holistic educational experience. This approach effectively addresses the complex challenges facing contemporary society and prepares students for active citizenship.
