Abstract
The article deals with the use of contextual tasks as a means of forming students' natural and scientific competence in the process of chemistry learning. The results of the pedagogical experiment are analyzed, which showed the positive impact of such tasks on students' motivation and the development of critical thinking. The main factors that impede the widespread introduction of contextual tasks, including methodological gaps and educational losses caused by hostilities, are identified. The prospects for improving methodological support are outlined to ensure the effective application of this approach in learning.
