Abstract

The article examines the practical significance of the principles of differentiation and individualization in the formation of professional competence of future science teachers. It is substantiated that the individualization in the training of future teachers of natural sciences is possible with the help of different forms of differentiation of the educational content: the introduction of different ways of solving the problem situation; use of various types of motivation for studying a new topic; use of various types of control works; the use of various forms of self‐monitoring of knowledge, the use of educational materials of various levels of complexity and "redundancy". It has been established that the practical implementation of the principles of differentiation and individualization in the formation of professional competence of future science teachers involves: individualization of training in the educational and cognitive activities of future science teachers; multilevel differentiation; differentiated forecasting; professional autonomy of the student's personality; diversification of the content of higher pedagogical education; variability of educational programs; variability of differentiation by type (internal, external). In general, the development of the content and structure of the differentiated process of forming the professional competence of future teachers of natural sciences, taking into account the individual characteristics of students, involves: defining goals and tasks; selection of theoretical material; development of professionally oriented and quasi‐professional tasks; presentation in a variable form of the invariant content of theoretical and practical educational material from sections and topics, taking into account the individual characteristics of students; preparation of scenarios of individual elements; programming; approval; monitoring of training results; correction of content and procedural components based on monitoring results; preparation of methodological recommendations for teachers who train future teachers of natural sciences in higher education institutions. It is concluded that the differentiation and individualization of training in the formation of professional competence of future teachers of natural sciences requires the organization of complex interaction of all segments of the educational process. Differentiation and individualization of not only students (which is typical for traditional didactics), but also of the content of education, as well as means and technology of education is considered as fundamental. This ensures the formation of certain balanced and differentiated connections between the components of the educational system and results in the planned educational effect.
