Abstract

The article reveals the life and scientific and pedagogical path of the outstanding national scientist and defectologist Halyna Mykolaivna Mersiyanova. Attention is focused on her cooperation with Professor Ivan Gavrilovich Eremenko and Academician Vitaliy Ivanovich Bondar and a whole cohort of national correctional teachers. The article reveals certain ways of socialization of graduates of special schools. The author suggests the future of modern special education in Ukraine.
