Abstract

The article is devoted to issues of the designing and developing Bachelor's and Master's study programmes in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in European universities, demonstrating their relevance, as they are oriented to the latest trends in the relevant field. The programmes are aimed at developing students' competencies that meet the modern requirements and needs of the labor market and ensure the competitiveness of graduates. Today, it is important to focus on the problems of training specialists in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, as the demand for such specialists, who have specific knowledge and skills to work with people with disabilities, is growing. Education content includes understanding different types of disabilities, mastering physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques, and using different approaches to work with different age individuals’ groups. It is also important to be able to individualize approaches to each person according to their specific needs and limitations, as individualized rehabilitation helps to achieve effective and positive results. Study programmes contribute to the achievement of appropriate learning outcomes by students, opening up opportunities for them to participate in research and innovative projects, which contributes to the development of scientific competences in particular. Students have the opportunity to choose specialized areas of education in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, such as neurological rehabilitation, sports therapy or pediatric physiotherapy, which contribute to a deeper understanding of specific aspects of this field. Students become highly qualified as physiotherapy and rehabilitation specialists and are able to provide effective and individualized care to patients, leading to improved rehabilitation outcomes. The education of highly qualified specialists in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation is a key element in the formation of a modern society, which is characterized by a higher level of justice, inclusiveness and the ability to provide support and equal opportunities for all its members.
