Abstract

The article analyzes the inconsistency between market declarations and the practice of financing higher education institutions in Ukraine, substantiates the need to change their status as a "budgetary institution" to a "non-profit organization" status in order to ensure greater autonomy and the development of market relations in the field of higher education, in accordance with European standards.
