Abstract
The model curriculum of the interdisciplinary STEM course (hereinafter - the Program) was developed on the basis of the State standard of basic secondary education, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 30, 2020. No. 898, and Typova of the educational program approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated February 19, 2021. No. 225. Іnterdisciplinary course "STEM. 7-9 grades" is aimed at forming in students a holistic picture of the world and gaining experience in solving problems that require the complex application of knowledge and skills from various educational fields. It is based on the content of educational fields that are key (determining) for STEM education, and aimed at improving the quality of knowledge of students in algebra, geometry, physics, geography, biology, chemistry, informatics, technology, health, safety and welfare by achieving the specific expected learning outcomes specified in the current model curricula for these subjects. The peculiarity of the interdisciplinary course as a "STEM" educational subject is that it is a complete systemic course, implemented at the expense of additional hours in the curriculum, set aside for studying subjects of educational fields, selective educational components, conducting individual consultations and group classes, and cannot replace none of the educational subjects.
