Abstract

On November 4, 2024, the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine held a commemorative evening honoring Vitalii Oleksandrovych Tatenko, a prominent Ukrainian psychologist, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, and Honorary Doctor of the Institute. In addition to the leadership and staff of the Institute, where V.O. Tatenko had worked since 1996, the event was attended by Vitalii Hryhorovych Panok, Acting Academic Secretary of the Department of Psychology and Special Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, researchers from the H.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology, education professionals who had collaborated with V.O. Tatenko, as well as his colleagues, friends, and family members. The memory of this multifaceted and influential figure brought together many individuals, uniting them in remembrance of this talented Ukrainian psychologist and in celebration of his contributions to the field of psychological science. The event included not only recollections from colleagues, friends, and students of V.O. Tatenko but also a presentation of his latest monograph, Collective Intuition in Predicting Social Phenomena (2023), and the posthumous awarding of the Honorary Doctorate diploma of the Institute to his family — a distinction V.O. Tatenko had not lived to receive.
