Abstract

The purpose of the article is to scientifically substantiate the importance of implementing project activities in vocational education institutions as an innovative approach to developing personal and professional competencies among learners, enhancing their competitiveness and social adaptation in modern conditions. The study employs methods of analyzing scientific and pedagogical literature, synthesizing theoretical provisions, and utilizing the method of comparison to examine international experience in applying project-based activities in vocational education. A systematic approach is applied to analyze the structural stages of implementing project-based learning and the specifics of their realization in Ukrainian vocational education institutions. It was found that project activities enable the integration of knowledge from various disciplines, the development of critical thinking, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork abilities. The main stages of implementing the project method were identified: preparation, execution, public presentation of results, and evaluation. The significant role of educators in coordinating and supporting learners at all stages of project work was emphasized. Attention was drawn to the importance of adapting project activities to the individual characteristics of learners and the specifics of educational disciplines. Project-based activities serve as an effective tool for developing learners’ professional and personal competencies, increasing their motivation for learning, and fostering socialization. Implementing this approach contributes to the formation of intellectual capital and the preparation of specialists capable of innovative and independent activities. Under modern challenges, particularly during martial law in Ukraine, project activities in vocational education institutions gain strategic significance for training qualified personnel and restoring national potential.
