Abstract
The article reveals the relevance of vocational training of people with intellectual disabilities in modern socio-economic conditions. The need to form vocational competence in students is substantiated for the purpose of their successful socialization and development of independence in later life. Professional competence is presented as a complex concept that encompasses a set of knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for effective professional and labor activity of a person, including analytical and critical thinking, information processing, defining goals and objectives, making appropriate decisions to perform work tasks, exercising self-control and having motivation for activity; "competence" is considered as the awareness and assimilation of acquired knowledge and skills, which are fixed on one's own experience and lead to personal growth. The pedagogical technology of forming vocational competence of students with intellectual disabilities is presented. The structure and components of pedagogical technology are characterized, which provides for; 1) structural-functional model of professional and labor competence, 2) algorithm for the formation of professional and labor skills and abilities; 3) programmatic and methodological support of professional and labor activity based on a model curriculum using the TAH-Söderberg methodology; 4) provision of corrective and developmental impact based on the implementation of educational and corrective and developmental tasks; 5) implementation of methodological recommendations for teachers and parents on the formation of professional and labor competence of students. The principles and stages of implementation of the pedagogical technology for the formation of professional and labor competence are outlined. The corrective orientation of the variable modules of professional and labor training, which are included in the structure of the author's model curriculum "Technologies of labor training: cooking, household chores" (2024), the use of methods and methodological techniques, forms and means necessary for the effective implementation of professional and labor training of students in special institutions of general secondary education and institutions with inclusive education are highlighted.
