Abstract

The article presents selected examples of help and support, mainly in the field of education, offered to the Ukrainian community by the Polish community after russia's invasion of Ukraine. The actions taken seem to be an image of the idea of intellectual dialogue, in which: the truth is given from the very beginning, not co-created by the participants in the dialogue, experience and reason are considered to be the only criterion of truth, the search for truth sharpens the sharpness and criticism of thinking, the separateness of the Self and You as participants in the dialogue is absorbed and eliminated by reason. The activity of Polish society, including that in the field of education, for the benefit of Ukrainian refugees seems to be approaching the idea of existential dialogue, in which the following dialogues: the essence of man is contained in the unity of man with man, and this unity is based on the difference of I and You, the existence and awareness of the participants in the dialogue is enriched.
