Abstract
The author revealed one of the topical topics in modern psychology, which concerns such a multi-vector field as affects, namely emotional intelligence. The publication examines the problems of understanding emotional intelligence, its main components, difficulties, and the need for special corrective work programs for psychologists and educators. The article has a three-component structure. The first component is aimed at revealing the essence of emotional intelligence, its importance of existence and formation in children, starting from an early age. Theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem of emotional intelligence research makes it possible to establish the state of development of the subject; to determine the psychological factors and conditions for the formation of the emotional intelligence of children of certain age groups. The second structural component of the publication describes the features of psychodiagnostics of a child's emotional intelligence. Determining the peculiarities of the use of psychodiagnostic tools in children of early and preschool age makes it possible to choose methods for working with the emotional sphere at an early age, to form a base of psychodiagnostic tools for a child psychologist. Peculiarities of psychological diagnosis of emotional intelligence is not an easy procedure for working with an adult person, accordingly, at an early age, the task for practical psychologists becomes more complicated. The third component reveals the peculiarities of the psychologist's work with the sphere of affects, the creation of a correction program and its application in group work with preschool children regarding the formation of emotional intelligence. The result of all the outlined actions is the development and testing of tools for the formation of emotional intelligence through the use of the "Psychological correctional program for the formation of emotional intelligence" for preschool children. The development of emotional intelligence of young children, according to the author, requires an individual approach of the psychologist to the family and the characteristics of the child.
