Abstract
The article reveals the factors of changes in children's education during the war. The results presented are part of a study of the processes of education reform in Ukraine. It was found that socio-psychological factors of family instability (freelance work, moving, changing schools) can reduce a child's satisfaction with learning. Surpassing parental resources in a situation of war can prevent a child from receiving a quality education. Parents consider a child's stay in permanent war conditions to be a risk of lowering their sense of confidence, well-being, comfort, and the acquisition of educational competencies. The cognitive component and parental involvement in helping the child with homework is reduced in the communication between parents and their child. The situation of war increases the individual activity of parents in expressing their opinions, striving to improve the school conditions for their children, and participating in school decisions at the level of administration. The war intensifies the transition of schools to indirect forms of education and communication and increases the requirements for indicators of its sustainabilitу.
