Abstract

The author draws attention to the difficulties of establishing a differential diagnosis in children with severe speech disorders due to the interconnectedness and interdependence of the psyche and speech. The need to determine the primary impaired link and distinguish between speech disorders and intellectual development disorders is emphasized. The main parameters for assessing the state of the child's intellectual capabilities, offered by domestic science, are presented.
