Abstract

An analysis of theoretical sources on strategic management was conducted in the article; the features were revealed and the advantages of strategic management in the development of preschool educational institutions were defined. Strategic management was considered as one of the modern management technologies. The concepts of «strategic management», «strategic planning» and «development strategy» were explored, and the interconnections between these concepts were established. The article also was analyzed the relevant legal framework concerning the research problem. Comparative analysis of research by foreign and domestic scientists in strategic management was carried out. The relevance of strategic management in the development of preschool educational institutions in contemporary conditions was substantiated. According to a survey, the presence of development strategies in modern inclusive preschool educational institutions has been clarified. It was stated that every preschool institution should have a development strategy, and the leaders of these institutions must recognize this necessity. Factors that hinder the implementation of strategic management in preschool institutions under current conditions were identified.
