Abstract
In literature lessons, reading should be considered not only as a communicative and cognitive activity aimed at satisfying various needs of the individual by means of textual information, but, first of all, as a reading (artistic and creative) and speech activity. This is how reading is presented in the textbook "Foreign literature. 7th grade" (authors I. Horobchenko, V. Snegiryova, O. Kayenko, O. Bushakova) The main form of presentation of the work in the textbook is the joint work of the students and the teacher (authors of the textbook) on the text, their dialogue with the writer (poet) . The dialogicity and interactivity of the educational process in the textbook are facilitated by the headings "Keys to the text", "Reading creatively", "Discussion", "Working in a team", "Working with the original", "Creating unique content", "Evaluate yourself", etc.
