Abstract

The article emphasizes that today there is a general problem in society at the scale of the state, namely, the patriotism of its citizens, its new sound – effective patriotism in wartime conditions. Ukrainians are a self-sufficient, harmonious nation in the center of Europe, which during the years of independence felt the taste of freedom in many things: choice of work, language, place of residence, religion, democratic and constitutional principles in elections to higher authorities, mobility in education, etc. There are many components of patriotism, but in Ukraine, in wartime conditions, a patriot has reached spiritual heights. And the strong side clearly stood out – the effective patriotism of ordinary people, because each generation must rewrite its history. The author aspires in the days of brutal confrontation to once again update the tablets of history, the mission of a person in the personal and state vector through such tests. The purpose of the article is to characterize patriotism as an integrating basis for the revival of the spiritual values of the Ukrainian people, to deepen the origins of patriotism, and to present a reflection on the power of effective student patriotism in the conditions of martial law. Method. The author used historical sources, a sociological survey of students, analysis, synthesis, and reflection. The results. Personality as an actually embodied spiritual individuality is defined in wisdom, acting rationally-practically in behavior and culminating aesthetically-figuratively in one's own views on life. Such a personality cannot help but love what he/she protects. A student's acceptance of a different identity in wartime conditions requires courage and faith in oneself, relatives, and one's actions. Patriotism, due to the perceived effectiveness of people, and students, in particular, prompts them to specific actions and deeds. People do not shout about their good deeds but honestly work for the sake of helping others, bringing victory closer. Novelty. The author shows the integrating basis of patriotism through the revival of the spiritual values of the Ukrainian people, the deepening of the origins of patriotism, and the sources of manifestation of the organic nature of the people, where patriotism is the result. Practical meaning. The material of the article is interesting for teachers of social sciences and humanities regarding the evolution of the concept of "nation", which is directly related to patriotism, the origins of the patriotism of the Ukrainian people, effective patriotism of students in the conditions of martial law.
