Abstract
In today’s globalized world, importance of developing a multicultural personality that can effectively interact in different cultural contexts is growing. An important component of this process is formation of positive psychoemotional intelligence, which helps applicants for education develop skills of empathy, social sensitivity and emotional regulation. In scientific exploration, theoretical and methodological aspects of formation of positive psycho-emotional intelligence for education of multicultural personality of applicants for education are disclosed. To implement the goal, a number of tasks are defined: 1. Describe the definition of the term “intelligence” itself; 2. Formulate definitions of the terms “psycho-emotional intelligence” and “multicultural personality”; 3. Adjust influence of psycho-emotional intelligence on education of applicants for education multicultural personality. To achieve this goal and certain tasks, the following methods were applied: theoretical: analysis and generalization of literary sources; comparison, generalization; empirical: observation of pedagogical experience to reveal the content of positive psycho-emotional intelligence, its role in educating multicultural personality of applicants for education. Conceptual and categorical apparatus of research is disclosed, the terms “intelligence”, “emotional intelligence”, “psycho-emotional intelligence”, “personality”, “multicultural personality” are characterized. Correlation of the level of formation of positive psycho-emotional intelligence and education of multicultural personality of applicants for education are determined. Theoretical approaches to formation of psycho-emotional intelligence through the analysis of basic psychological theories are characterized. Theoretical and practical aspects of influence of positive psycho-emotional intelligence of applicants for education on their education as multicultural personalities are represented. Practical advice for formation of a multicultural personality is recommended, among which intercultural education, development of emotional literacy, interactive teaching methods, support for cultural diversity and inclusive educational environment are indicated.
