Abstract

We live in an era of migration flows, which often leads to violent conflicts and unbridled populism in managing relations with those who are different from us, speak a different language, practice a different religion, etc. Unfortunately, the history of humanity shows that cultural differences between people tend to increase, and there are no signs that values ​​will converge towards global cultural citizenship. EU citizens are not sufficiently successful in coping with otherness. Erasmus and Erasmus+ exchange programs help reduce prejudice, but they do not change the balance of power between cultures, so intercultural contacts alone are not enough.
