Abstract
The thesis analyzes the structure and content of the school physics course in Great Britain, Moldova, Kazakhstan, and Poland. An analysis of international experience shows that the basic physics course is logically complete, usually integrated, and contains elements of space physics. The priorities for its development, which correspond to international trends, can be identified as standardization, differentiation, and integration, integrity and continuity in the implementation of individual subjects in the natural sciences, strengthening the competency orientation, and focusing on the formation of key competencies.
