Abstract

The paper identifies key European integration trends in the development of school education in Ukraine. 1. Decentralization and increased autonomy of educational institutions. 2. Harmonization of the system of assessment and certification of students' knowledge in accordance with European practices. 3. Updating curricula and syllabi. 4. Transition to a competency-based approach in education. 5. Digitalization of the educational process. 6. Development of STEM education. 7. Creation of a modern system of pre-profile and profile education in primary school. 8. Internationalization and academic mobility. It is concluded that the process of integration of national education into the European educational space is defined as one of the priorities of Ukraine's modern educational policy.
