Abstract

The article examines the methodology for studying the history of educational reform in Ukraine, developed by corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Larysa Dmytrivna Berezivska. The main principles of her author's approach are presented, such as systemic and chronological analysis, periodization, typology of reforms by criteria, as well as models of educational changes. Special attention is paid to the importance of historical and pedagogical source studies and the integration of archival materials into modern research. The results of the research have significant theoretical and practical significance for pedagogical science, which is reflected in monographs, manuals and training courses. The influence of L. D. Berezivska's ideas on the development of modern historical and pedagogical research and the expansion of bibliographical resources in pedagogy is also highlighted.
