Abstract
It is stated that civic and сitizenship education is a factor in the affirmation of the Ukrainian сitizenship identity of students. Within the framework of the description of the author's model, the goal of teaching civic and сitizenship education is determined; it is noted that the content of civic and сitizenship education should be integrated into the content of all educational branches, primarily into the content of educational subjects of the civic and historical educational branch, in particular history; a methodology for teaching civic and сitizenship education is proposed as a set of practically oriented educational activities, problem-based learning, interactive and information and communication technologies, and research activities of students, in particular in the form of projects.
