Abstract
The idea of European integration, which has a long history, is a product of the rules, norms and cultural values of European societies. Under the influence of the long European history, these values, which emerged as a result of socio-political events, changed and developed, were combined, especially in the EU treaties, the different values of the member states were mixed, thus European societies formed the basis of the EU integration project. The second main characteristic of the European integration process is the issue of deepening, which consists in the presence of a strong institutional structure. Accordingly, the existence of a strong institutional structure has been one of the most important tools that has facilitated cooperation between member states and made it possible to continue relations.
