Abstract

Attention has been focused on the importance of a biographical dictionary for understanding the collective portrait of the first generation of educators in Independent Ukraine. It has been argumented that they were near the sources of creation or the founders of the Ukrainian education system. Approaches to writing biographical references have been revealed.
