Abstract

Pedagogical systems of learning in a democratic world are constantly changing in accordance with the demands of society and the labor market. This determines the relevance of the introduction of profile training in senior classes of schools and lyceums as an important basis for the development of key competencies of pupils and their preparation for a conscious choice of a future profession. The key aspects of profile education in developed countries are the gradual selection of specialized subjects, the possibility of entering a university, emphasis on professionally oriented programs, variability within the profiles thanks to elective courses, as well as voluntariness in the choice of directions. These elements provide pupils with a flexible, individualized approach to learning, contribute to the development of specialized skills and competencies, preparing them for an informed choice of their future profession. For Ukraine, which seeks to integrate into the European educational space, the implementation of these aspects in profile training is extremely important. They will help to adapt the educational system to modern requirements of the labor market, make it more flexible and oriented to the needs of each pupil, as well as improve the quality of training of graduates for admission to higher educational institutions and professional life. The chapter presents a model of a modern graduate, in which the main goal is to form him as a future active member of society and a transforming life force.
