Abstract

The article defines the main concepts of research: "theoretical basis"; "professional development"; "professional competence of a vocational college teacher"; principles, general requirements (systemic, activity-based, person-oriented, axiological, cultural, communicative) and specific methodological approaches, selected on the basis of the peculiarities of the researched process (competent, environmental, informational, humanistic, synergistic, technological).
