Abstract
The article substantiates the importance of implementing the developed system of diagnostics of future teachers' readiness for environmental education of preschoolers. The main components of the developed diagnostic system, which include theoretical knowledge, methodological and pedagogical skills, practical experience, personal environmental values, and communication skills, are identified and characterized. It is proved that the developed diagnostic system is a comprehensive assessment of the readiness of future teachers to implement environmental education of preschool children, which will allow them to effectively implement environmental education in the educational process. The main components of the system are highlighted, namely cognitive, activity, motivational, and value. The levels of readiness of future teachers to implement environmental education of preschoolers for each component of the system are determined. The assessment is carried out at high, sufficient and low levels. Four stages of the process of diagnosing the readiness of future teachers to implement environmental education of preschoolers are identified: initial screening, practical diagnosis, reflective practice, and final evaluation. The forms for effective assessment are highlighted, namely: test tasks, analysis of environmental cases, observation checklists, self- assessment questionnaire, protocol for practical assessment and observation, portfolio, reflective diaries. It is proved that the proposed system of diagnostics of future teachers' readiness for environmental education of preschoolers allows to assess the level of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, motivation and personal values, which together forms the readiness of future teachers for the effective implementation of environmental education in preschool education institutions.
