Abstract
There is an actualization of the fundamental consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on humanity and the individual. The author defines the concept of "social distancing" and what is its impact on the participants of the educational process. The author also substantiates his view on the development of distance learning as the end of the era of classical education, outlines the consequences of this process and ways to solve them.
