Abstract

The model curriculum of the Ukrainian language for grades 5-10 of basic secondary education is aimed at forming communicative, linguistic, sociocultural competence, development of students' personalities and preparation for successful educational and social-communicative activities. The program emphasizes the importance of the realization of the main goal - the formation of students with intellectual disabilities in the main key competencies, including: fluency in the state language, a sufficient level of communication in various life situations, education of a nationally conscious, spiritually rich language personality, who will possess the necessary system of linguistic skills knowledge, abilities and skills that can be practically applied in further independent adult life. The program also emphasizes the importance of mastering the knowledge system, development of speech, thinking, communication and interaction skills, as well as correction of cognitive activity. The main principles include person-oriented, activity, competence and communicative approaches. Special attention is paid to the adaptation of learning for students with intellectual disabilities, providing an individual approach and special pedagogical guidance. Training is based on a corrective and developmental orientation, a differentiated approach. The program emphasizes the importance of constant repetition and consolidation of linguistic knowledge for effective assimilation of educational material.
