Abstract

The necessity of applying modern reading technologies in literature-based reading lessons, which will contribute to the development of skills for text analysis and working with information, is substantiated. Specifically, it focuses on the following reading technologies: developing skills in younger students to study scientific and literary texts; step-by-step processing of new text content; fostering critical thinking; and meaningful compression of the text’s content. The main features of these technologies are briefly characterized.
