Abstract
The article is devoted to the content of teachers’ professional development in the context of open postgraduate pedagogical education. Key aspects and requirements for professional development in the face of modern educational changes are analyzed, mainly through implementing innovative teaching methods and new information technologies. Reviewing existing models and postgraduate education programs helps identify their strengths and weaknesses, as well as new trends influencing the professional development of teaching staff. The aim of the article is to analyze and determine the key aspects and content of teachers’ professional development within the framework of modern conditions of open postgraduate education. Therefore, the article is aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of teachers’ professional development by analyzing and enhancing existing practices and programs. The research methods include theoretical analysis and synthesis of ideas, results, and theoretical propositions presented in scientific and pedagogical literature; summarizing and systematizing the results of existing studies on this topic. Applying these methods allows for a comprehensive study of the problem and provides well-founded conclusions and recommendations for improving teachers’ professional development. The research results confirm that the analysis of scientific works helped define the essence of “professional development.” The main needs of teachers in professional development, including skills in using new technologies, were identified. The effectiveness of various models of postgraduate pedagogical education was analyzed, revealing that combined models (both online and offline formats) show better results than traditional approaches. These results aim to improve the quality of teachers’ professional development and ensure their effective preparation for modern educational challenges. The conclusions state that teachers' professional development is critically important for ensuring high-quality education in a rapidly changing educational environment. Open postgraduate education provides flexibility and accessibility, which are crucial for modern teachers. The most relevant areas include improving competencies in using modern information technologies, developing distance learning skills, and integrating innovative pedagogical approaches. These conclusions emphasize the importance of continually improving the postgraduate education system to ensure high-quality teaching in a fast-changing educational environment.
