Abstract

The article discusses the peculiarities of the value and meaning sphere of the personality of war participants. The interrelation between the value and meaningful orientations of the individual and the effectiveness of overcoming post-traumatic stress reactions is revealed The study emphasizes the importance of social support after traumatic events. The social environment of people who have experienced traumatic stress (in this case, military stress) is considered in this study as a real help in understanding the meaning of the past, finding their place in the present life and in forming a goal for the future.
